It is generally time for hospice when the patient has 6 months or less to live and desires to focus on quality of life and comfort.
Appropriate hospice diagnoses include, but are not limited to end stages of the following:
- AIDS
- Alzheimer’s
- Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
- Cancer
- Cardiac Disease
- COPD
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Muscular Dystrophy
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Renal Disease
